Rainbow Lorikeet

On Thursdays and Fridays I work in my other job. I am not near any window, so there’s not much natural light to speak of and my day mainly consists of sitting at a desk opposite a computer…my lunch hour is critical for me – not so that I can eat, but so that I can breathe – I mean, by now, for those of you who have been following me since I started this project, you’ll understand my passion for being outdoors, especially by the ocean. My saving grace in my working day now, is my 1 hour lunch, where I take photographs and I walk. Last Thursday, I didn’t get a chance to go outside and I felt wrong for the entire afternoon.

From the amount of sunrise photographs that I’ve taken on this project, I think you can safely assume that I am a morning person, therefore, my afternoons aren’t my greatest time, especially if I haven’t been able to go outside. I try to go out, even if it’s pouring down with rain.

So, I went out on my lunch break today and came across this Rainbow Lorikeet along with 8 or so other ones. This made me smile and so I wanted to share it with you.

I am so desperate for the days to be long again, so that after I finish my work, I can see so much more than I am at the moment.
