A Room with a Slightly Different View

If you are wondering why I’ve given this title to this photo, I’ll explain here…

A couple of weeks ago, this 3 piece turned up on these rocks from out of nowhere, which I photographed and used as an entry for my 365 project which you can see by clicking here; Room With a View

I honestly didn’t think that the chairs would stay there for very long, I thought that the local Council would remove them. They haven’t. So I thought that it would be a rather good idea to photograph the chairs again, to show, how people have moved them, how they have faired in the weather/ocean waves splashing, surfers sitting in them catching their breath. This is the outcome.

I also like the contrasts of the weather – the first day that I took the photograph, it was cold, raining, windy, rather a dull day. Today – it is edge to edge blue sky.

What I found really amusing, is that on the sofa, there was an upturned (empty) container of cookies & cream ice-cream! – which really tied in with my room with a view (the first photo). Made me smile.

  1. All you need now is a coffee table and an ice bucket with a bottle or two of wine… and maybe a book… Although with that view the book might be overkill..

Maybe the council PUT the 3 piece there.. lol..

  2. A room with a slightly different view. This story could run and run, depending on the will of the council.
I really like the fact that the colour of the chairs match the sea and sky, with contrast coming from the ground and arch in the foreground plus the nearby town.

    • Thank you. I like that…A room with a slightly different view – I think I may change the title, especially with it tying in to the first photo. I just hope that I am around when they eventually take the chairs away – that should make a good photo. I’ll probably take another photo in another 2 weeks – if they are still there. I hope the council don’t remove them, surfers have actually been using them, whilst waiting for their buddies to leave the water or just to watch the others surfing.

  3. Hm, I love the photo, how everything matches. And I love the subject, I think that the person who put them there, is a genius 🙂

  4. This “room” has got to have the best view ever. Five-star hotel rooms couldn’t hold a candle to this one! 😀

  5. I’m totally ready to kick back in one of the chairs and share a pint of ice cream!

  6. great! I wanna go there. I wanna see those chairs and sit there 😀 You can see that they’ve been there for a long time. But you can also see that those chairs are over depreciated already. isn’t it? 😀
