Day 301 Tuesday 24th January 2012
Let the Commute Commence
Today was our first day back at work following our house move. With the first day at work, comes the first commute. This photo was taken whilst my partner was driving, I opened the car window and took this whilst we were actually still moving.
The commute today, took for me 1 hour 1 minute! That’s travelling around 90kms. It is pretty far however, where we used to live, even though the distance was much so much closer approx 30kms, it would take about the same time, if not longer. In actual fact, travelling home, door to door, it would take me 2 hours, that’s including waiting for public transport.
Travelling home today involved me catching 2 trains and a bus and it took 2 hours, but that was mainly due to the bus going round all the local areas, it took forever. I am hoping to get a scooter soon, for me to get to and from the train station. This will make a massive difference to me.
Incidentally, the train journey was so beautiful. I’ll try and take some photographs to share with you, mind…they’ll be through window glass, so they might not be clear, but they’ll give you an idea just how beautiful this train ride is! The Tain passes through forests and right along the shore line and past mangroves.

This photo is beautifully calming. Commuting can be a challenge…been there, done that. Thank you for the words and the picture.
Thanks so much Max. So sorry for not replying sooner.
